Great functionality so far but loses points for assembly and smudgy desktop

The thing everyone wants to know first, my version of the missing instructions:(Once you have the frame assembled without the set screws tightened)- Put the desktops upside-down on a blanket in the correct configuration- Flip the legs upside-down as well and place on the desks- Adjust the desks and the extension bars on the legs as needed to align the desk- Screw in the set screws on the extension bars and tighten- Using a 1/8" drill bit, slightly drill a shallow mark for each of the desktop screw in points (just to get the hole positions marked)- With the set screws secured on the frame remove the frame from the desks- Using a 1/8" drill bit, drill each of the screw points that you marked to a depth of 3/8". To do this, apply a piece of tape like a little flag around the point on the drill bit that marks the correct depth so that you go no further than that.- Flip everything right-side up and assemble normally by fastening the screws into your pilot holes on the desktops.Important notes:- You'll have to drill holes for the controller and the control unit. It is important that where you place the controller, the controller cable has enough length to reach the control unit plug in.That worked for me. Tedious but it worked in the end.The bad:For the review, this desk simply loses a star for the assembly difficulty and the smudginess of the desktop. The fact that the company has put absolutely no effort into improving it is a bummer. The desktop shows fingerprints as clear as day but that is where a lot of the cost savings come from - a cheaper desktop. The good:The desk is a nice size, sturdy for my purposes, and the motors work well. They are quite and fast enough. Will update later on the lifespan of the device.

Good value for the money.

Took some time to assemble and no pre-drilled holes for the L-Shaped desk. However, it is a great desk for my wife's home office.

Cool frame, but overpriced, also: Get your drill ready.

I really like the frame! The frame is very flexible and sturdy. The problems are the tabletops and the instructions. Foolishly, when I ordered a $700 desk, I expect the pieces to exactly match. The instructions for assembly are unclear and overly simplified. Assembly, which is usually no trouble for me hit a major roadblock after the first hour. It turns out, despite no mention of drilling in the instructions, the table tops shipped with this kit do not have pre-drilled holes to match the frame. They send you the tops from other standalone desk frames and expect you to make them work on the L-shaped frame. When I emailed customer service, they directed me to the instructions--even to specific steps--which made no mention of pesky little details like where, how deep, or which bit size to use when drilling the holes for the frame. Customer service, after repeated email exchanges did finally send me the missing drilling instructions. In case you need them:"Our technician has stated the following instructions: Use a 3mm or 1/8" drill bit, and drill the holes to a depth of 10mm or 3/8". For locations, I'd recommend placing the desktop on the frame with the frame adjusted to maybe 6" from the left and right sides, mark the locations through the mounting holes using a pencil, then take the tops back off and drill the holes."This still doesn't mention mounting the control box, for which I had to use custom screws because the provided ones are too short for the task. Good Luck.
